American Tournaments
Traditionally held on Bank Holiday Mondays, our American Tournaments are popular mixed doubles events organised throughout the year.
Players of all abilities have the chance to compete with a number of different partners in a round robin format. You play a number of rounds of 7 games and players have a different partner in each round, with winners playing with losers from the previous round. It is a great way of meeting other members of the club and don’t worry if you don’t think you have got to grips with the rules, there are lots of members who will help you on your way.
After the first four rounds, we stop for a tea and a much needed rest! Not just a cup of tea but there is always a spread of tasty snacks too! Tea, tennis balls and scorecards are all provided, you just need to bring your racket and the entry fee. Club emails prior to the tournament will inform you of the start time. Do come and join us whatever your ability, it is always great fun. New members are especially welcome.
