Good luck Rich

19 May 2018, by Chrissie Martin

It’s the big day for one of our members, Richard Brailsford, as he sets off on a mountain bike ride through the Forest of Dean.  It’s all in aid of the UK Motor Neurone Disease Association, to raise money to help their research into finding a quest for the disease.

A few years ago Richard gave a passionate speech in memory of his dad, at our inaugural charity evening, where we raised over £1000 for MNDA UK.

This time he’s ditched the racquet for a bike and helmet to tackle the technically challenging 44 mile Wild Boar Chase in the Forest of Dean.  He’ll also be riding the 87 miles of the Ridgeway shortly too.

Joining him for the bike ride will be fellow NOLTC member Glenn Hooton, super-coach Dave Rooney, and Will Rooney.  Jack’s been training with them too.

Good luck guys.

If you’d like to donate there’s a Just Giving page set up for the ride: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/richard-brailsford7
