We are always keen to get more people playing tennis and joining our lovely club and we also like to support charities along the way too. We love nothing more than setting up a NOLTC tennis stand and providing demonstrations and encouraging people to play at local events.
We recently did this for Sport Relief and had great fun playing mini tennis with some of the participants of the fun run, some of whom were in fancy dress which made hitting the ball slightly challenging…but the fireman especially were rather good!
We also support the LTA’s Great British Tennis Weekends each year to help get more people playing tennis more often. We open our doors (and courts!) to everyone and invite them to come and try tennis.
You might think of open days as a chance to see all the facilties and chat to a few people at a club, but our open days are so much more than that! We offer a big friendly welcome and always like to see interaction and participation from everyone however good or bad they think they are. We encourage you to grab your trainers and come on down to our club wearing whatever you feel comfortable in. All equipment is provided, you just need to bring yourself!
Not only can you try tennis for free, but we give away free coaching for everyone who comes along. We usually cover a range of sessions – for the ladies we have sessions for beginners, sessions for those who want to get back into the game they once played, sessions for over 50’s and our ever popular cardio sessions too. Â We also offer family fun – mini tennis, junior tennis and parent and child sessions geared to all the family. Lots to get involved with and all for free. Look out for our dates for 2023 and put a note in your diaries.
