A little Christmas (& birthday!) cheer goes a long way…

What a lovely way to spend a Tuesday lunchtime. On 8th December our Tuesday club morning group had a sunny few hours playing tennis and then came into the clubhouse for a spectacular Christmas feast.
As ever Ann Stearns and Pat Wakefield did sterling work organising the whole event and kept everyone’s glasses topped up nicely. Jan and Kelly produced a fabulous meal for just under 40 people and the Christmas spirit flowed extremely well.
We were so glad that friends and fellow members who haven’t made it down to the club recently were able to come and join in the merriment in our clubhouse. Thank you to everyone for making the effort to be there and for making it such a fun event – we really seem to be able to do parties rather well!
The Chairman (who is indeed another year older) was honoured to be invited and would like to say a big thank you especially to Ann, Pat and Suki, all of whom didn’t let her birthday go un-noticed. Ann said some very kind words, Pat made a fabulous cake, everyone signed a card which was presented along with a lovely bottle of champagne and the whole clubhouse burst into song! What a treat! Thank you everyone, it’s not so bad being the Chairman! We really do have a lovely bunch of members.
