County Cup Girls showing us how it is done!

What a fabulous atmosphere we had at our club last weekend with visitors from Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Avon, Channel Islands and Oxfordshire all competing in the 14U girls County Cup. Oxfordshire came up against some tough competition, but played some gutsy tennis and finished a respectable 4th, which considering their age and size compared to the other teams, was a good result. Hertfordshire were the clear winners and had some fantastic tennis players in their team, some with national rankings.
Our Oxfordshire 14U boys were playing at Oxford Sports and playing for the team was club member Gabriel Curreli who put in a great performance and helped the team to victory as overall winners. Well done to all the boys and good luck in the finals at Nottingham 13-15th May.
Meanwhile, our competitions manager Tom Francis was over in Hertfordshire looking after our Oxfordshire teams competing in the Lionel Cox event, a popular competition for 10 counties in the east region. And do you know what, our 10U Oxfordshire boys team was made up entirely of North Oxford players – Arthur Manson, Bobby Hornby & Monty Bowles.
